Baby/Bababa!?!?

Almost sounds like Elliana is saying baby here, instead of ba ba ba ba ba. Still can't figure out how to undistort the video, so it is streched vertically, but I'll get it eventually. In the meantime enjoy...

New Friends

Elliana has a new friend, Debbie's granddaughter Emerson! I can barely remember when Elliana was that small. Our little girl was super jealous of Emerson and cried the whole time Mommy was holding the new little baby. Hopefully they can play again soon!

Elliana's Uncle Tom brought over some new pets (dinner) for Elliana to play with (for Mommy and Daddy to eat.) We all enjoyed playing with them (eating them) very much.

Little Big Girl

So, it is clear that Elliana is not happy being a little baby who just crawls around. She needs to find and crawl to the nearest thing that she can use to stand up. Even with the crib lowered, she has figured out how to stand up in it, just like we found her this morning in these pictures. Here is the sequence:

Looks through the bars and gives you a devilish smile...

Pushes into a half-standing position using the vertical bars...

Reaches one hand and then the other to the top bar, and pulls into a full stand, flashing a proud smile or letting loose a joyful screech!

Here Elliana is mesmerized watching her first fire in the living room fireplace...

Sneaky Girl!

So, we heard Elliana talking in her crib the other morning. We went in to pick her up and change her, and there she is, standing up holding the railing. So we had to lower the mattress again, hopefully she can't reach the railing anymore. I set up the video camera on her crawling in the living room, and caught her sneaking in this little gem. She didn't know I was watching just around the corner.

I think that Trish was wondering about that big crash at the end in her comment. I dropped the Dora the Explorer Phone, not the baby. I promise...
