Christmas Eve

Here are some shots of Elliana all dressed up for Christmas Eve. She was all decked out in her pretty white coat and hat. It was not easy to get a shot with her hat on as she just pulls it off immediately after getting it on her head. Here she is just before flinging it off!

First Christmas Morning

Elliana was very excited on her first Christmas morning! She loved looking at all the presents, and opening the wrapping paper, and playing with her new toys (and the wrapping paper). Here are some shots from early in the day, we'll post more again soon.

Elliana loves clapping when she is happy. Here is a little sequence of clapping shots with some smiles and cute faces. Sorry I haven't posted since last Thursday, I'm a slacker.

Big-Girl Seat

Elliana is now too big for the purple Bumbo seat she has been using for meals. Essentially she can lean herself over, which pops out one leg, and then work herself out of it. Since it goes on the kitchen table for mealtime, that's not gonna work anymore...

She has officially been upgraded to a big-girl high chair and she seems to like it. Here she is having toast for breakfast with Mommy and Daddy.

This is gonna be great!

Hmmm, maybe not, it's a bit dry. Can I get some butter on this?

If I were just a little bit taller, I know I could get that...

Early Present!

Grampy brought an early present over to Elliana, 'cause he just couldn't wait for Christmas! She loved the wrapping job!

2 New Things

For some reason the pictures in this post did not upload correctly. Here it is again:

Elliana has been doing 2 new things lately. She now loves to clap to music, or when she's happy, or whenever she's excited. The other thing is her new found obsession with the kitchen cabinets, and using the handles to stand herself up. Now we need to get baby locks for them, let the baby-proofing begin!

Little Carnivore

Elliana is officially a vegetarian no more. She was 8 months old yesterday and can now start eating small pieces of lean meat. So naturally, we started her off with a huge chicken leg to see how she'd do (not really).

Picked clean, sorry lovie, no more meat on that!

New Tricks

Elliana's newest craze is to crawl out of the living room and onto the tiles of the front hallway. She used to stop at the threashold heading out of the living room, but that invisible barrier has been removed. She knows that the Nutcracker is on the stairs now, and she loves talking to him. She also loves to look at the glass and designs on the front door. When this girl decides to stand up and walk, Mommy and Daddy (and Jane!) are in serious trouble...

Fuzzy Hood

Handmade Goodness!

Elliana loves her new handmade sweater from Debbie and Faye. She did some modeling so you could check it out too. She also did some simple tests to make sure it's versatile (it is!).
