Bath time!

Elliana had her first bath last night. She wasn't the happiest little girl in the world about it, as she showed when she peed all over me, but she certainly had her moments of cuteness.

Sorry about the lack of pictures lately, hopefully some of these will make up for it.

Keep your comments coming, we love to hear from everyone.

Updates...

Sorry, it has been a while since we have updated the blog. Elliana's belly button fell off this week, which makes Kristen excited, since she can now dress her up in all her outfits with pants! Elliana also made her first trip one of our favorite pizza places, The Riverview in Ipswich. And last night, she actually slept from midnight to 7am, which was awesome.

Weighing in...

We had an appointment today with the doctor, and everything is looking good. They like to see a baby back up to birth weight within about 2 weeks from delivery. Elliana is back up to her birth weight, 8 pounds 1 ounce, two days ahead of schedule, so she checked out fine. Everything is still going well, I will get some more pics up soon.

Back to work...

Well, after a nice week off with Kristen and Elliana, it is back to work for me. However, being so close to home, I get to come home and see them for lunch, which is great. We had a great weekend, lots more visitors, and some nice time to ourselves as well. She continues to sleep well at night, and hopefully this will continue indefinitely...

Tummy Time!

Elliana had some practice surfing on her tummy time mat tonight.

And then this guy showed up at the house. Is there anything creepier than that mustache?

First walk...

We took Elliana on her first walk today, downtown to Harbor Goods and to the bank. She slept almost the entire time but did open her eyes to say hi Christopher at Harbor Goods.

Suuuuper-baby!

It's a bird, it's a plane, it's Superbaby!

She's cuter than a button..

She can sleep full nights with a single feeding!

Her only weakness, she sleeps most of the day, and is subsequently unable to fight crime...

Elliana had another great night, making it 3 in a row. Let's hope it continues.

HE'S GRRRRRRRRREAT

Here is Kristen's Grampie, now a proud GREAT-Grampie:

Special Delivery!

Elliana got her first flower delivery yesterday from the Nasser Family, John, Wendy and Kayla. They were beautiful and we all loved them. Thank you so much!

We also had a package delivered to the house on Thursday. By the time we got home from the hospital on Friday it was gone. Please let us know if you sent us a package and we haven't thanked you for it yet. We are not being rude, we just don't know what it is or who it's from...

Also, we stopped into Axiam (Rob's work) today to say hi to everyone and have lunch. Thanks to all of you guys for the gifts and company. Elliana had a great time meeting you all for the first time!

New Sox Fan!

Elliana is the newest fan of the Red Sox. The 2004 and 2007 World Series trophies were in Gloucester today at Fuller Elementary School, and she got her first taste of the new age Sox, who instead of years of heartbreak have given us awesome results.

Elliana also got to visit all sorts of people whose voices were familiar as Kristen carried her through Fuller for 9 months. She had a great time there and loved seeing everyone!

A Wonderful Night...

Elliana had a great night's sleep last night. She saw the Red Sox and Bruins win, fed at 12am, then 2am, and we didn't hear a sound from her again until 7:10am. She ate, and back to sleep the three of us went, until 9:30. She sleeps so well wrapped up in her swaddle-me blanket (thanks Gina!) If only every night could be this perfect...

Now she is sleeping some more in her bouncy chair

Thanks to everyone who came by to visit, and we hope to see more of you soon. Elliana loves her visitors!

Also, a special thanks to Jeff and Jaimie from The Cycle Loft in Burlington, for Elliana's bag of goodies!

First Night Home...

We spent our first night home with Elliana last night. She is getting used to her new surroundings, and is currently in her longest sleep after her latest nursing. She seems to love listening to the music from her mobile while Mom nurses her, and loves rocking in the chair. We had some visitors yesterday at home and want to thank everyone for coming by to see us.
Yesterday, on the way home from the hospital, we stopped at the grocery store to get some supplies. I knew that Elliana would be a great shopper, based on her mother's skill in that department, and I was right. She slept the whole time, and didn't make a peep. She turned a few heads and raised a few eyebrows when the answer to the question, "How old is she?" was, "Two days."

Here are some more pictures. Please keep your comments coming, we love reading them, and appreciate all the kind words!!!

New baby!

Elliana Mae Parsons was born today weighing in at 8lbs 1oz. It was a difficult labor for Kristen but she was awesome. I will post some pictures as soon as I get the chance!

Tuesday Update...

We are headed to an appointment for an ultrasound, to check and make sure that everything is good with the baby, then for a non-stress test. If Kristen doesn't start labor today, they are planning to induce her tomorrow, so it won't be long now...

We will keep you posted with any news!

Another day...

We thought it would be this weekend, but it is Monday again, and we still find ourselves waiting. I just know that soon I can put a real update on the blog, but not quite yet. Our little girl must be pretty comfy in there, and is just taking her time in joining the outside world. Of course, we will keep you posted with any news.

Sunday update...

Well, it's Sunday, and we're now 4 days past the due date and counting. We have taken rides on bumpy roads to no avail, and will probably walk the Boulevard today. We will keep you posted on any news...any suggestions are welcome!!!

Last day teaching...

Today was Kristen's last day at school and she will be on maternity leave for the rest of the year. She had hoped to work this long with the pregnancy, and she actually pulled it off. Now she can relax at home a bit before the baby comes, which is probably a bit of a relief for her. But who knows, maybe labor starts tonight! No rest for the weary...

I added a new feature to the blog, Email Subscription. If you want to get email updates when I add a new post, you can sign up through the link to the top right of the main page. It is not real-time, but I think it sends you an email in the morning if anything was posted on the previous day.

I'll keep you up to date with any news.

Due Date...

Well today is the "official" due date, April 2nd, but no baby yet. Kristen is working again today, this round of MCAS is over, so hopefully it isn't too stressful at school today. They say that less than 5% of babies are born on their actual due date, so we will continue to wait...
