Fiesta Fiesta!

Elliana had lots of fun at St. Peter's Fiesta. We watched the greasy pole, seine boat races, and she went on the carnival rides like a champ. Carousel, giant slide, crazy bus, all sorts of sketchy carnival fun!

Fun with Mommy and raspberries for Daddy!
Crazy bus with Grandma (the bus was far less crazy than the toothless lady working it...)
More fun on the horsies with Daddy!

Elliana and Olaf

Elliana just loves Olaf, "el gato de Tia y Tio (Agus and Ryan)." She likes to pet him, and chase him, and feed him cookies. All sorts of fun!
Here kitty, kitty, kitty...
Look, I'm ready to pounce too!
Meow, meow, meow, I love cookies!

Grilled Cheese Head!

Elliana loves her grilled cheese sandwiches, whether Daddy makes them, or from the Cupboard House. Here are some shots of her (sorry for being the biggest slacker ever!)...
Big girl bites!!!
Did you want some of this grilled cheese?
Just kidding, it's mine!

Gymnastics!

Elliana went to Caroline's gymnastics meet on Saturday. She absolutely loves playing on all the gymnastics mats and bars and trampolines and anything else she can climb up onto. I guess we'll be signing up at Iron Rail anytime now to keep Elliana busy...
Here she is with Caroline
Playing on the bar...
Running wild on the tumble trampoline! (before falling every time...)
Playing with Caroline's brother Seth on the mats...

Travels...

It was suggested by a friend that I post some pictures from my trip to Taipei, Taiwan. No baby cuteness here, but some pretty cool sightseeing. As always, click on the pictures for larger versions.

This is a Confucius Temple in Taipei, very intricate detail everywhere, dragons on the corners of buildings, and ceremonial places for prayer and incense lighting.

Unbelievable dragon carvings on the pillars which are both ornamental and structural.
More fine and colorful detail inside the roof of the temple shown above, low light, a bit blurry...
Dragon statue in the midst of a fish/turtle pond in a Taipei public park.
This is the northeast coast of the island of Taiwan, about a 45 minute bus ride from the capital city of Taipei.
More shots from the coast. Notice the huge concrete blocks shaped like "jacks" from the children's game. They pile these along the coastal route and around some of the bays to act as a breakwater (instead of the granite blocks like we have for Dog Bar Breakwater in Gloucester.)
Some totally bizarre and awesome rock formations up and down the coast.
Shot from the old gold mining mountain town of Chuifen looking down the valley toward the ocean. It took a long and winding road to get up here on the bus, but the market and the view up there was well worth it.

Agustina's Shower

Elliana went to soon-to-be Auntie Agustina's shower on Sunday. She loves her Tia, and laughs whenever she sees her or just hears her name, it is pretty cute. Here she is dressed up for the party in her Chinese dress that Daddy got her from Taiwan last week. How cute is she?
Sitting in the big girl chair...
Tee hee!!!
I love those balloons (different dress!)...

Watermelon Head!

Greetings from Taipei! I miss my girls, but having pictures to go through is pretty good. Here are some that are a little old, but fun.
I could too fit more in my mouth!
See, I did!
You want some of this watermelon?
